mark 3

The Robot

     After going through a multitude of changes throughout the course of the season the current state of Team B's robot is a improvement upon the last design. After the competition at Emerson the flaws pf the previous model came to light which lead to a newly improved "3rd version" of the affectionately named robot: Viktor

I N T A K E

The intake of Viktor consists of two dual flywheels that are connected using a chain and sprocket system. The flywheels allow us to pick up the skystones at virtually any angle. 

Vertical Elevator

Victor like his previous design incorporated the use of two elevator system. In this iteration Victor's horizontal elevator remains the same besides the addition of one more pulley to remove the surgical tubing that caused the more problems in Victor Mark 2

Horizontal elevator

Victor Mark 3's horizontal elevator carries a new hand mechanism. The hand in this design grabs the stones from the sides (vertically) rather than from a peg, increasing stability. The hand is controlled by two servos mounted to the elevator. 

extra systems

1.  Brick Grabber

            During autonomous Victor Mark 3 has the ability to sense and move the sky stone and one other stone to the foundation. In order to do this, a mechanism is a reused design of our old hand. 

2.  Tray Puller

            During tele-op the robot is able to pull the foundation from the build site to the depot. The mechanisms is two plates connected by servos at the very back ofVictor Mark 3.
